Okay, I’m usually not rude or blunt but I’m getting tired of this.

Besides the fact that they will fight for men’s issues when it is legitimate and they have the time to do so (in the midst of dealing with all the other misogynistic nonsense they have to endure, they rarely do), if you are noting a lack of interest in men’s issues from feminists, consider this: IT IS NOT THEIR JOB.

Feminism- Interest in achieving equality amongst the genders with an interest in protecting women’s rights and dealing with women’s issues

Masculism- Interest in achieving equality amongst the genders with an interest in dealing with men’s issues

MRA- Makes dumb pictures on the internet complaining about how feminists don’t do what it was never their job to do, and henceforth ironically gives evidence to the false notion that all men are stupid and sexist, instead of helping to build new Men’s Abuse shelters, or assisting the ones already in existence like they would be doing if they were of any use at all.

At the very least they could stop complaining about feminists and giving men a bad name through their ignorance, but alas! We have condescending Wonka here.

Actually for some feminists IT IS THEIR FUCKING JOB. There are professional feminists who work for universities and the government at an institutionalized level in order to address gender issues.

Comparing the power of institutionalized feminism to masculinism is like comparing Brad Pitt to that no-name actor bussing tables down the street.

The influence feminism exerts over society, education and government is far beyond any influence masculinists could ever hope for, I don’t even think the government even knows masculinists exist. THEY ARE ANTS BY COMPARISON TO FEMINISM! you just cannot treat the two movements like equals, they simply aren’t even if they both bring up legitimate issues.

If it’s not the job of feminists then WHY is it always feminist who attack ANYONE who even attempts to address mens issues. Every single fucking time its the radical feminists who are at the forefront of attacking anything ANYTHING WHAT SO EVER that involves mens issues. It’s people calling themselves feminists who vandalized and protested men’s shelters, it’s feminists who boycotted and protested university lectures on male suicide and sexism. It’s feminists who brought back debtors prison for fathers who can’t afford child support and it’s feminists who pressured the sexist VAWA bill that doesn’t even acknowledge female rapists or abusers
so when feminists say they support mens rights, the only thing I feel the need to say is HA!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

I have seen no evidence what so ever to convince me that feminists have mens issues even remotely at heart yet they still insist that feminism is the be-all end all answer to equality and that is simply laughable LAUGHABLE!

I did not mean it is not their job as in it is not their career choice, I meant it is not their job as in it is not directly related to their field of focus, career or not.

Of course masculism receives less recognition, womens’ issues currently outnumber mens’ issues, and women are still denied rights that law should provide them. Masculism simply takes less priority at this time.

Also, Feminist is a title anyone can claim that denotes an interest in equal rights among the genders. If someone were to do something purposefully sexist then say they were a feminist, it is only logical to assume they have no idea what they are talking about. Those actions as you described them are not feminism.

It is good to see you in such good spirits though, I really do enjoy discussions with such happy people.

Ok then how about this. It is their job because so many feminists, shit ton of feminists, almost every feminist I’ve ever met are immensely intolerant to the idea of masculinism, the mrm, mens issues, or even the idea of proposing that mens issues are of any relevance.

Virtually every feminist I have ever met has insisted that only feminism and feminism alone as a governmental and social institution is fit to address the issue of gender equality. That said many of those feminists who share that opinion also hold the opinion that mens issues do not warrant being addressed because women’s issue take priority.

And I do have to disagree with your assertion that mens issues are of less priority.

When you take into consideration that men commit suicide at a rate 4 times that of suicide amongst women FOUR TIMES that’s the female suicide rate stacked on to itself four times over. that’s huge. They also make up the majority of the homelessness population and are the majority of victims of virtually every form of violent crime with the exception of sexual assault and spousal abuse. Even in the case of spousal abuse the numbers of male victims of spousal abuse, though lower, are still huge in their own right. If you don’t believe me here are some reliable links on the matter

Now unfortunately I can’t find the number of abuse shelters currently operating in the US but up here in Canada it looks a little something like this:

Number of female abuse shelters in Canada currently operating: 593

Number of male abuse shelters in Canada currently operating: 0

The last one just got shut down and it’s founder committed suicide as a result.

Now seeing as how the only governmental institutions on gender issues are all feminist ran (there are no mra or masculinist departments devoted towards spousal abuse or gender issues) I will address my thanks towards feminism for the gracious contributions it has made towards the issues men face,
